Brandon Grindz has built his name on more than just music—he’s built it on impact.
Known throughout Boston for consistently giving back, Grindz has spent years using his platform to support and uplift the people around him.
Now, as he works with big-name artists such as OT The Real, The Hoodies, and battle rap legend Charlie Clips, he’s proving that dedication to the community and elevation in the industry can go hand in hand.
His rise reflects both his talent and his purpose, making him one of New England’s most respected emerging voices.
We had a chance to ask him some questions, here they are and his answers to them below.

Q: You’ve been leveling up and working with bigger artists lately — what moment made you realize your grind was starting to pay off?
A: "I’ve noticed my notoriety started to grow once I stayed consistent with visuals, investing way more money in to it and just all around believing in myself. I always knew once I worked with bigger Artist people back home would start to believe and I understand that."
Q: How has the city of Boston shaped your style and your mindset as an artist?
A: "Boston is a melting pot so the city has different sounds of music which makes it unique bc it represents the city’s landscape. You have Boom bap, Drill, trap, Gangsta rap and soulful artist. So when visiting a big city like Boston that’s exactly the vibe you get from the music."
Q: You’ve been giving back to your community for years. What inspires you to keep pouring into Boston even as your career grows?
A: "I was the kid who grew up with a big heart and i was inspired by the neighborhood super stars from T.V to witnessing them in my community."
Q: Can you talk about a specific moment when community work impacted you as much as it impacted others?
A: "When I knew my heart was at ease and I knew I had purpose in life. It was when I gave away with the help of my team 300 pairs of new shoes at Franklin park in Boston. That was a special moment for both me and the families."
Q: What’s something people don’t see behind the scenes — in the studio or in your day-to-day grind — that you wish more fans understood?
A: "The sacrifice is when I’m working so hard to gain revenue to achieve success, all the writing, the recording the organization behind it , the promo. All while having to deal with favoritism, and gate keepers maybe the toughest part. But once you understand that’s how life is as you grasp the concept you learn to block out negativity and keep working. Hard work and it will pay off for sure."
Q: You’ve worked with some notable artists. Which collaboration taught you the most, and what did you take from that experience?
A: "Working with Charlie clips was mind blowing to me because he didn’t have a verse when he entered the studio in Time square, he didn’t use a pen or phone, he paced back in fourth for 30 mins and got in the booth then laid his classic verse for “Bout that time”. What I’ve learned is when I start charging for features, I have to show why I’m worth the amount by executing under pressure to give the Artist my best verse. Working with both him and OT the Real taught me that."
Q: As you continue to elevate, what’s one goal you have for both your music career and for the Boston community?
A: "My plans for my music Career is to stay independent and gain worldwide success and hopefully changed and inspire someone with my music or by how I made it. Also I wanna feature with all the legends I grew up with. As far as my community work, I will open up an after school program/building for the youth."
Q: For young artists coming up in Boston, what’s the one piece of advice you feel they need to hear?
A: "To the younger artist. Get your family and friends to jump behind you to support you. Stay hungry stay believing and hit the pavement running, build your fanbase!"
