Below is a Q&A with Nikoghini:
Who were your biggest musical influences growing up? A: “ Travis Scott, Kanye West and Tyler the Creator “ How has growing up where your from shaped your sound? A: “ it hasn’t had heavy a play into my music, everyday experiences and new ideas inspire my sound. “
What’s been your biggest achievement as an artist so far? A: “ gotta say putting out my first ep in 2020 shifted a lot for me personally and as an artist.
“ What message do you hope people take from your music? A: “ I like to express self confidence in my music. That’s a really big message I try to put out indirectly, being comfortable in your own skin and not afraid of being vulnerable.
“ What’s do you think the local hip hop community needs more of? A: “ Something that’s needed is more storytelling and a focused artistic craft . compared to just tryna get a quick hit.
“ Do you feel like where your from supports its local hip hop scene enough? A: “ I think where I’m from definitely supports local artists and is in tune with what’s going on.
“ Out of all the songs you have recorded which one would you say is your favorite ? A: “ my favorite song I ever put out .. I have a few but one that holds important significance would have to be “Thinkingathought” I made the beat on that and took a different perspective that my art today.
“ If there was Something you wanted your Listeners to know about Your Music what would it be? A: “ If there’s something that I would want people to know about my music, would probably be that it’s inspired by day to day shit. I make songs that can apply to a situation you could be going through. We all go through shit. “
