Benzino— Tappin Back in w the New England Hip Hop Community!

Benzino or Raymond Scott grew up in the Streets of Dorchester and Roxbury. First gaining attention as a member of The Almighty RSO a Boston based Rap group known for tracks like “ One in the Chamba “ and “ The Wars On “ ft Prodigy of Mobb Deep. After RSO disbanded, Benzino co-founded Made Men, with hit single “Tommy’s Theme” in 1998. He Shortly released other solo projects like: The Benzino Project (2001), Redemption (2003), Arch Nemesis (2005), The Antidote (2007). He is also one of the pioneers of one of the most notable and respected publications in hip hop at the time The Source Magazine (1999-2005). Benzino became co-owner of The Source magazine with business partner Dave Mays. Both were terminated from The Source due to financial and legal drama. He Later Appeared on the VH1 Reality TV show Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta from 2012-2015. Today he can be seen on many different shows and local podcast like the Force the Win Podcast/ The Big Dookie Chain Podcast and at many different events. He also is still releasing music, recently dropping a drop mic freestyle on the @unclejoepodcast titled YN-Z that has been going viral on my different social media platforms. Benzino remains one of the most controversial figures in Hip Hop today and still takes a ton pride in being from the Bean (Boston). Even today he is seen actively reaching back out into the Boston Hip Hop Community and tapping in and showing love to who is creating motion. Many would say that
